Memphis Minnie (1897–1973) was a pioneering American blues guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. Renowned for her powerful voice and intricate guitar work, she became one of the most influential female blues artists of the early 20th century. Over her four-decade career, she recorded more than 200 songs, including classics like “Bumble Bee” and “Me and My Chauffeur Blues.” Minnie’s innovative style and bold, independent persona helped pave the way for future generations of blues musicians.
