The Burning Bridges are a family band that play Old School Country and includes bluegrass and old time, as well as an expanding catalogue of original songs. Performing since 2012, The Burning Bridges appear regularly at national festivals and at venues of distinction across Melbourne and statewide, and have released two albums to date with another on the way.
The band features Peter Somerville on banjo, dobro, guitar, and fiddle, partner Fran Martin on guitar, and son Tom Somerville on mandolin, guitar and fiddle. Justin Vilchez on mandolin and guitar, and Maxine Sutcliffe on double bass.
